and everyone I met while at the Youth Environmental Conference in Kobe.
THANK YOU for bringing me to the conference and THANK YOU for giving us these awesome Canon Cameras to document what is going on every day in our countries concerning the environment. I know that working together we CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Pesticides, chemicals to kill unwanted plants or weeds,
to maintain a perfect lawn.

Wires. They are a common sight all across our globe, wires to
bring energy to our homes and businesses. All around the globe,
energy is becoming a problem because of how we get it, either
from coal, fossil fuels, nuclear etc, or a more sustainable choice:
wind, solar, etc.

This shows some of the garbage at my landfill waiting to be
sorted. The landfill will be full in 2 years.

Also at the landfill, tires, a substance that we can use for many
things, but are more likely to be easily thrown ‘away’.

This may only be one plastic bag, but how many ‘one plastic
Bags’ are there? They are everywhere, when you look closer.

I was shocked to see clear-cutting so close to where I live, about
30 minutes away. Clear-cutting forests is more disturbing when
it’s so close.

This is only one bottle. Only one.
But, like the plastic bags,
they are everywhere, and the only one
way of thinking is leading to us ignoring
a bigger problem of garbage than we think.
On the 30 minute drive home from school
we counted 31 plastic bottles or bags that
were trash at the side of the road or in a pond.
